Why Do Men Cheat?

Its been made painfully aware to me, that I do not have great taste in guys. That being said, this rant is coming from my perspective, about my experience with love and relationships.

So, back to my main question: Why do men cheat? I met my, now, ex-husband when we were 17. Thruout the years he was very abusive, and he cheated quite a few times. Now, that we're friends we talked about it. His reason is because he was young and dumb. Ok, let's go with that...

I am now in my 40s, my last boyfriend was in his mid 50s. My woman's intuition was telling me something was going on, but he adamantly denied it. By the time someone actually spoke up to let me know what was going on behind my back, we had been together for 2 years. That's 2 years of my life I devoted to someone I thought I would grow old with, gone. He became very abusive at the end too. Other than the two I just mentioned, none of my other relationships were abusive.

Dated a guy for 3 years, we got engaged. He felt guilty and admitted he had cheated on me once, and almost again (with someone else), but he didn't go thru with it. It was like he wanted a medal for not going thru with it the second time. Instead, he got dumped.

The last two were a year and, the other, 6 month relationships. One cheated on me with a 9 month pregnant lady, and the other was trying cheat, but I was only one dumb enough to snatch him up.

I did date one guy for 3 years who never cheated, never did me wrong, ever. But he's gone to the great beyond. RIP $ambo

Anywho, you can see my frustration and confusion. I've been asked out by about 10 guys since I broke up with my ex 2 months ago. It disgusts me every time. All I can think of is that they are a disgusting pig, and I instantly hate them. Truth is, they probably are. The odds are against them in my book.
