Alarmed

It's almost midnight, and somebody's car alarm just started going off. It made a memory pop into my head.

It was about two and a half years ago, when I was getting ready to move from Arizona to Pennsylvania. It was 2:00 in the morning, when a neighbor's car alarm started going off. It lasted for at least 5 minutes or more. I was bitching and wondering why this person wouldn't turn off their car alarm. Were they were not home? What was going on?

Then I realized that I had picked up my keys about 5-10 minutes earlier and accidentally hit my alarm button. I was the ahole with the car alarm going off! Luckily, I could turn it off from my key fob inside my condo, as I did not want to go outside and deal with my angry neighbors.

This has me laughing now—it’s a silly, yet good memory. There's been a lot of sadness and heartache in my life lately; I've lost many people close to me. It feels good to giggle.
